The Manmohan Pawaskar Foundation was established in 2002 with a sincere commitment to serve the poor and needy and to promote and develop Indian sports — especially among children and youth. The Foundation is named in memory of Shri Manmohan Pawaskar, whose values of compassion, discipline, and social responsibility continue to inspire our work.
Founded by Ramakant Manmohan Pawaskar, a lifelong sportsman and resident of Parel, Mumbai, the Foundation emerged from his lived experiences of witnessing the struggles of underprivileged patients and his deep-rooted passion for sports. The Foundation was strongly supported by like-minded friends from the locality, who came together as trustees with a shared vision of service through sports and social welfare.
Our Vision
To create an inclusive and active society where sports become a way of life for every child, irrespective of physical ability or background. While continuing our commitment to differently abled children, we also recognise a growing concern: mainstream children and youth are increasingly confined to mobile phones and digital screens.
Through structured tournaments and competitions, the Foundation seeks to bring children back onto playgrounds — inspiring active participation, building fitness, discipline and confidence, and ensuring equal opportunity for differently abled and mainstream children alike.
